Born and raised in NYC. Electronics and technology are some of the things I am deeply interested in.  I had my first exposure to computers in high school.  After high school, I joined the US Navy where I was trained as an Electronics Technician.  In the navy I worked on various ship board and aviation systems – very cool stuff!

Once the navy was over, I applied and was accepted into a Computer Science program offered locally. Since graduation my entire career has been working in the finance industry.  I have seen the transformation that technology has made on this industry over the years first hand.  It amazes me how technology in finance went from nice to have, to integral, to indispensable.  To this day I actively develop software.

I have experience in a variety of programming languages, but my latest passion is for the Python programming language.  I picked this language up about 4 years ago.  I think it’s ideally suited for so many applications, whether you are interested in web development or analytics, it’s extremely easy to be productive quickly.

I’ve learned a lot from others, with this blog I want to help others learn from my experience.
